    Entry-Level Life Insurance Sales Representative – Remote

    Location: Remote — currently recruiting in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C.
    Employment Type: Independent Contractor, 1099
    Compensation: Commission-based earnings, performance bonuses, and advancement opportunities. No hourly wage or guaranteed base salary.

    Position Overview

    We are seeking motivated and coachable individuals interested in beginning a career in remote life insurance sales. This opportunity is available to qualified applicants residing in one of our current recruiting states or Washington, D.C.

    As an Entry-Level Life Insurance Sales Representative, you will meet virtually with individuals and families, explain available life insurance and supplemental benefit options, identify their coverage needs, and assist them through the application and enrollment process.

    Previous insurance or sales experience is not required. We provide structured virtual training, coaching, scripts, technology guidance, and ongoing mentorship. Candidates who are not currently licensed must be willing and eligible to obtain a resident life insurance license in their state before conducting insurance business.

    Responsibilities

    • Contact and follow up with prospective clients.
    • Conduct virtual client appointments by Zoom.
    • Explain life insurance and supplemental benefit options clearly.
    • Ask questions to understand each household's needs, goals, and budget.
    • Recommend appropriate coverage based on the client's circumstances.
    • Complete electronic applications accurately.
    • Maintain organized client records and consistent follow-up.
    • Participate in virtual training, coaching, and team meetings.
    • Follow company procedures and applicable state insurance regulations.
    • Provide professional service throughout the enrollment process.

    Qualifications

    • Must reside in one of the listed recruiting markets.
    • Must be at least 18 years old.
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
    • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a resident life insurance license.
    • Strong communication, listening, and customer-service skills.
    • Comfortable speaking with clients by phone and video.
    • Coachable, dependable, and willing to follow a structured sales process.
    • Self-motivated and comfortable with performance-based compensation.
    • Reliable internet connection, computer, phone, and quiet workspace.
    • Sales, customer service, leadership, or insurance experience is helpful but not required.

    Training and Licensing

    Training is provided through virtual classes, coaching, role-play practice, and ongoing mentorship. Training is not paid.

    Unlicensed candidates must complete the licensing requirements for their resident state before conducting insurance sales. Licensing expenses are the personal responsibility of the candidate, although eligible candidates may receive access to discounted prelicensing education.

    Licensing requirements and costs vary by state. Your attached 2025 guide provides estimated licensing pathways for Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, and Tennessee; it does not provide figures for the other active recruiting markets.

    Compensation and Work Structure

    This is a 1099 independent-contractor insurance sales opportunity. Compensation is earned through commissions and performance-based bonuses.

    This position does not include:

    • A guaranteed salary or hourly wage

    • Guaranteed earnings or sales

    Individual results vary based on activity, completed client appointments, sales performance, licensing status, and continued eligibility to represent the company.
