Entry-Level Low Voltage Helper | Dallas Fort Worth

You don t need years of experience to start building a skilled-trades career. You need a strong work ethic, reliability, and the willingness to learn.

TradeSTAR is hiring Entry-Level Low Voltage Helpers for opportunities with our client companies throughout the Dallas Fort Worth area. You ll work alongside experienced technicians on commercial construction projects while learning how the technology inside today s buildings gets installed.

From network cabling and security systems to fire alarm and audio-visual technology, you ll get real jobsite experience and begin developing skills you can build a career around.

What You ll Learn and Do

As a Low Voltage Helper, you ll support experienced technicians while learning the fundamentals of commercial technology installation. Depending on the project, you may:

  • Pull, route, organize, and label low-voltage cable

  • Assist with voice and data cabling installations

  • Support fiber optic cable installation

  • Install cable supports, pathways, and related hardware

  • Assist with security and access control installations

  • Support fire alarm and life safety system installations

  • Help install commercial audio-visual cabling and equipment

  • Mount devices, racks, equipment, and support hardware

  • Learn to read construction drawings and installation documents

  • Safely use common hand tools and jobsite equipment

  • Learn proper installation practices from experienced technicians

You could work on commercial projects such as data centers, offices, schools, healthcare facilities, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, and entertainment venues throughout North Texas.

Who We re Looking For

Previous low-voltage experience is not required.

This opportunity is a strong fit if you:

  • Enjoy working with your hands and learning how things are built

  • Are dependable, punctual, and ready to work

  • Can follow instructions and work as part of a crew

  • Are comfortable working in active commercial construction environments

  • Have reliable transportation and a valid driver s license

  • Can travel to project sites throughout the DFW Metroplex

  • Want to learn a skilled trade with room to advance

Previous construction, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, warehouse, military, or other hands-on experience is a plus but your attitude and willingness to learn matter.
