Find your future with us.The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team has an exciting opportunity for an Entry-Level Manufacturing Engineer (level 1) in Huntsville, AL .We provide support for our Mission Operations Portfolio area which design, build, test, deploy, operate, and maintain a wide variety of mission critical platforms and systems for commercial and government customers. We're committed to fostering an environment for every teammate that's welcoming and respectful with great opportunity for professional growth.Position Responsibilities:Leads teams in analyzing product development, innovative producibility studies and production/tooling philosophies.Conceptualizes and oversees the implementation of the program architecture for build.Develops manufacturing plans or concepts for high level program requirements.Resolves complex technical problems.Organizes technical aspects of proposal development.Develops and authors new engineering principles, theories and advanced technologies. Develops advanced design solutions.Conducts research resulting in new product or business opportunities. Consults on lean principles and technologies for enterprise wide initiatives.Documents and communicates producibility best practices. Identifies training needs. Establishes procedures, standards, protocols and reporting requirements.Understand how to accomplish tasks through formal channels and informal network; understand the cultures of organizations.Using a variety of media, clearly convey information and ideas to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the messageMake customers and their needs a primary focus of one's actionsProvide products and services that meet the highest technical and quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies and processes and embrace first-time quality as a way of life – not accepting, creating or passing any defects and speaking upIdentify and correct conditions and behaviors that affect employee, public, and customer safety; uphold safety standards; demonstrate proactive safety culture leadershipBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer scienceExperience establishing manufacturing build plansExperience working in a production focused engineering roleExperience working with tooling and/or manufacturing operations processesPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical EngineeringExperience supporting defense and/or aerospace customersExperience with circuit card assembliesExperience with Manufacturing Execution System Common Image (MESci)Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies .At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage, and retain the top talent.
