You will be the Mechanical Inspector for the Mechanical Inspection Team. Our team is responsible for ensuring quality and compliance of mechanical components and assemblies.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Mechanical Inspector youwill be responsible for performing comprehensive inspections of mechanical parts and installations across prototype, development, and production programs.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Conduct inspections of mechanical parts, assemblies, tools, jigs, fixtures, prototypes, and training devices.
Utilize visual, layout, and conventional measurement techniques and equipment.
Verify compliance with manufacturing, development, and production specifications.
Document inspection results and generate quality reports.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve non‑conformances.

Basic Qualifications:
• High school degree or equivalent
• Must be able to use computer programs such as Word, Excel, etc.
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of machine parts, tooling section or mechanical assembly inspection
• Inspection experience
• Ability to use precision measurement tools (ie: Calipers, micrometers, etc)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work on a team

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
