Position Overview

In this role, you will assist with medical billing, coding support, insurance claim preparation, patient billing questions, and general administrative tasks. You will help ensure medical services are documented accurately, claims are prepared correctly, and billing records are maintained in accordance with privacy and HIPAA requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with translating medical services, procedures, and diagnoses into standardized billing and coding formats
  • Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims accurately
  • Check claims for completeness and help identify coding or documentation errors
  • Communicate with patients regarding billing questions, balances, payment options, and payment plans
  • Verify insurance information and update billing records as needed
  • Work with medical providers, billing staff, and administrative teams to support accurate claim documentation
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient, billing, and company information in accordance with HIPAA and privacy guidelines
  • Perform data entry, document processing, file management, and other general office tasks
  • Support ongoing billing, reimbursement, coding, and administrative workflows as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • HIPAA certification required
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Organized, dependable, and willing to learn
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured office environment
  • Basic computer skills and comfort with data entry
