This unique position will support the production rate increase and advanced technology upgrade activities. This role will be involved in production support activities as well as continuous development projects improving manufacturing.Boeing Huntsville has multi-year contracts to develop, manufacture, and test the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) missile seeker and future improvements. These contracts are driving significant, long-term growth for the PAC-3 engineering team on the Huntsville campus.Shift Work Statement : This position is for a B or C Shift.B Shift: M-Th; 4x10 – Starts at 4pmC Shift: F/Sa/Su; 3x12 – Starts at 6amShifts may be eligible for a shift differential and subject to availabilityPosition Responsibilities:Develops and implements production and tooling methodologiesParticipates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplinesDevelops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for buildLeads and implements manufacturing plansConducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirementsAssists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practicesAnalyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or scheduleCoordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and conceptsValidates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems.Implements lean principles and technologiesLead/support cross-functional projects to implement new manufacturing processes and/or equipment, driving continuous improvement in production capability and efficiency.Identify, evaluate, and deploy advanced technologies and machinery to enhance manufacturing throughput, quality, and efficiencies.This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
