ABR is seeking a Machinist to join a dynamic manufacturing team. We are seeking either an ENTRY-LEVEL Machinist looking to learn the field OR we would also hire a HIGHLY SKILLED Machinist. In this role, you will set up, operate, and maintain a variety of machine tools, including CNC lathes and milling machines, to produce high-precision components.
Hours are Monday – Thursday, 4pm-2am
Starting Wage: $25.00 – $39.00 per hour depending on experience

The ideal candidate has strong experience with blueprint reading, GD&T, and CNC programming, along with a solid mechanical background. This is an excellent opportunity to work with advanced equipment while contributing to efficient, high-quality production processes in a safety-focused environment.
Machinist Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes and milling machines (Fanuc controls or similar) to produce parts to specification
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T symbols to ensure accuracy
  • Program CNC machines and make necessary adjustments for optimal performance
  • Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators) to verify part quality and tolerances
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety procedures
  • Perform inspections to ensure parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards
  • Collaborate with assembly teams on fitting and finishing components
  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
Machinist Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Proven experience operating CNC lathes and/or milling machines (Fanuc or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and mechanical drawings
  • CNC programming experience required
  • Proficiency with precision measurement instruments
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Basic math skills for measurements, tolerances, and machine adjustments
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, tooling management, and forklift operation
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English for safety and teamwork
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
