You don't need years of plumbing experience to start a career with us.
But you do need something we can't teach:
Work ethic. Curiosity. Accountability. And the desire to become exceptional at something.
Advanced Plumbing Systems is looking for an entry-level team member who wants to build a real career in the plumbing industry.
This is not an apprenticeship position.
It's an opportunity to earn your way toward one.
We believe becoming an exceptional plumber requires an investment - not just from the company, but from you.
We will teach you.
We will give you opportunities to work alongside experienced technicians.
We will teach you tools, materials, plumbing systems, product knowledge, troubleshooting, customer communication, and how a professional service company operates.
We don't expect you to know everything.
We don't expect perfection.
But we do expect you to take ownership of your development.
That means asking questions.
Studying things you don't understand.
Learning from mistakes.
Paying attention when experienced people are teaching you.
Learning the products we install.
Practicing until you can do things correctly.
And caring about the quality of your work - even when nobody is watching.
At Advanced Plumbing Systems, we believe:
We're not just in the plumbing business. We're in the customer-service business. Plumbing is what we do.
The best technician isn't simply the person who can install a water heater or repair a faucet.
It's someone who can walk into a customer's home, diagnose a problem, explain what they found, educate the homeowner about their options, and help that customer make a good decision.
That's the professional we're looking to develop.
You'll start by learning the fundamentals.
Assisting technicians in the field
Learning tools, fittings, materials, and equipment
Maintaining inventory and organizing the shop
Preparing and cleaning job sites
Learning how plumbing systems work
Learning APS processes and procedures
Developing product knowledge
Learning how we communicate with customers
Learning what quality workmanship actually looks like
Some days won't be glamorous.
That's part of learning a trade.
We aren't promising that you'll become an apprentice in 30, 60, or 90 days.
We want to see what you do with the opportunity you're given.
Show us that you're dependable.
Show us that you're coachable.
Show us that you care about craftsmanship.
Show us that you can solve problems.
Show us that you take ownership.
Show us that you're serious about building a career.
Then let's see how far you can go.
Someone who thinks: "I don't know how to do that yet - but I'll figure it out."
Someone who wants to become really good at something.
Someone who takes pride in being dependable.
Someone who doesn't need a manager standing over them to give their best effort.
Someone willing to make some short-term sacrifices in order to build long-term skills, earning power, and opportunity.
Someone who wants a career, not just another job.
