Job Title: Entry Level Process Engineer

Job Description

The Process Engineer will provide technical support at the hot end, batch house, furnace, tin bath, lehr operations and help resolve quality problems as required. The Tech engineer also provides operations assistance, training, audit participation and develops and administers best practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, coordinate, supervise and participate in repair and maintenance work
• Provide day to day support for hot end processes, including resolving process upsets, process changes, training, etc
• Provide technical support to troubleshoot hot end processes and equipment issues and develop and implement both short term and long term corrective actions
• Interact with all support systems pertinent to Hot End operations such as environmental systems, water supplies, etc
• Perform furnace inspections and initiate solutions to maintain and improve overall furnace operations,
• Interact with other engineers, production and maintenance personnel, and masons to investigate process problems and implement solutions,
• Coordinate with all necessary personnel during repairs
• Develop, prepare and maintain up to date operational procedures
• Plan, prepare and coordinate preventative maintenance
• Analyze data to determine trends and take appropriate actions
• Assure compliance with all federal, state and local laws with job responsibility
• Supports new process development

• Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills
• Work accurately and independently
• Exceptional PC skills
• Ability to develop and deliver training

Education and Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or related fields required
• Statistical methods and analysis proficiency helpful

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Kingsport, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
