SEEKING ENTRY LEVEL CHEMICAL ENGINEER WHO IS A HANDS ON TYPE WORKER FOR OUR ROLL MAKING PROCESS IN A PLASTICS EXTRUSION ENVIRONMENT.

Job Purpose:

  • The Entry Level Chemical Engineer at ORAFOL AMERICAS INC will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes. This role aims to enhance productivity and efficiency while ensuring product quality and compliance with industry standards. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and contribute to the continuous advancement of manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and development of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Conduct analysis and testing to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions.
  • Support the troubleshooting of process-related issues and provide technical assistance to the production team.
  • Participate in the documentation and reporting of process changes and improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze process performance to identify trends and areas for enhancement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of safety and environmental policies within the manufacturing environment.

Required Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Required Experience:

  • Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is a plus.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with CAD software is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
