    Job Summary

    Project Associate/Sr. Project AssociateAre you looking to begin a rewarding career in electrical project management? The Project Associate is phase 1 of 3 on the path to becoming a Project Manager with one of the largest electrical technology companies in the country. The Project Associate reports directly to the project leader. This is a client-facing role that requires the ability to build relationships both in and out of the office. The core responsibility of a Senior Project Associate is to continue learning through on-the-job experience while gaining new responsibilities along the Project Management career path.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Understand Miller Electric's service-based approach to the electrical project management process.
    • Build long-term relationships with your clients and fellow employees by earning trust through diligent communication and a high-quality work ethic.
    • Learn the fundamentals of estimating on large projects and assist with the preparation of proposals for new business.
    • Assist with project documentation, productivity tracking, change orders and collections.
    • Work with your team to ensure the project is built following design, budget, and schedule.
    • Learn the basics of estimating on large projects.
    • Collaborate with your field leaders to confirm client expectations and coordinate with subcontractors and other trades.
    • Assess construction progress, team needs, and issues through regular project visits with your field supervision.
    • Work with vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED

    • Bachelor''s degree or IBEW licensed electrician
    • Strong computer & Microsoft Suite skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Commitment to developing time management and organizational skills
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on learning environment
    • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.

    PREFERRED

    • Healthcare project management experience
    • Experience working in the construction industry
    • Familiar with computer-based estimating
    • Understanding of billing and collections
