Want to learn a skilled trade with real earning potential — and get paid while you do it? No RV experience? No problem. We'll train you from the ground up.
Holiday World RV is hiring an entry-level RV Technician Trainee to join our service team. This is a hands-on, paid position for someone who's mechanically inclined, reliable, and ready to build a long-term career — not just find a job. We're not a small shop hoping to make it through winter — we're an established dealer group that's grown from 35 employees to over 325 in the last 20 years, with the customer base and consistent volume to keep you busy and learning every week of the year.
You'll start alongside our experienced technicians, learning the trade the right way, with a clear path to becoming a certified RV Technician and the pay that comes with it. If you show up, work hard, and want to learn, we'll invest in you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Working alongside experienced technicians to learn RV systems — electrical, plumbing, appliances, slide-outs, roofs, flooring, and carpentry
- Assisting with diagnostics and repairs on travel trailers, fifth wheels, and motorhomes
- Handling prep work, component replacement, accessory installs, and basic repairs under supervision
- Learning to document your work through our paperless system
- Attending paid factory and in-house training and working toward RVTI or manufacturer certification
- Keeping your bay, tools, and work area clean and organized
- Taking on more complex work as your skills grow
What We're Looking For
- A strong work ethic and a genuine willingness to learn — no RV experience required
- Mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience in any trade (automotive, construction, maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC) is a plus, but not required
- Reliability — showing up on time, ready to work
- Ability to follow instructions and take direction from senior techs
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools, or eager to learn
- Able to handle physical work — lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
What You Get
- Paid, on-the-job training — get paid while you learn a skilled trade
- Year-round, steady work — no seasonal layoffs, no slow weeks, no worrying about hours
- Raises as you gain skills and certifications
- A clear path to becoming a certified RV Technician
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid vacation, paid holidays, paid factory training
- Annual bonus plan
- A real growth path — we promote from within, and our service department is expanding
