In this role you will support our security and low-voltage technicians with the installation wiring and setup of security systems assisting with hands-on field work and job site preparation. Success in this role requires a strong willingness to learn basic mechanical and electrical aptitude and the ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team in a fast-paced field environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with wiring running cable mounting devices and completing simple installations.Help set up equipment prepare the job site and pull materials.Clean up job sites and maintain tools and equipment.Follow instructions and learn to read drawings and wiring diagrams.Participate in system testing documentation and basic diagnostics under guidance.QualificationsStrong interest in security and low-voltage technical work.Ability to follow directions and a willingness to learn.Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude.Valid drivers license preferred.Preferred QualificationsSome technical trade or relevant coursework.Experience with basic tools and hand tools.Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and handle materials tools and equipment throughout the workday.Frequent standing walking bending kneeling climbing ladders and working in tight or elevated spaces.Work is performed at active job sites and construction environments with exposure to varying temperatures noise and outdoor conditions.Ability to use hand and power tools safely and follow all site safety requirements.The wage for this role is 20 to 24 per hour based on experience and qualifications.As part of the DU Family of Companies we believe that empowering and investing in our employees as leaders develops an organization that delivers innovative solutions and services that create a superior customer experience.
