Job Summary

The Seed Technician supports seed production operations through seed processing, packaging, inventory management, and warehouse activities. This role ensures accurate handling of seed products while following safety procedures and quality standards. The position may require extended hours during peak production seasons.

Job Description

• Receive, scan, clean, treat, sort, count, label, and package seed.
• Organize, move, and store seed products in designated warehouse locations.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using electronic inventory systems.
• Perform seed processing and manufacturing-related tasks.
• Operate equipment and assist with basic troubleshooting when needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and site requirements.
• Complete assigned tasks accurately based on verbal and written instructions.
• Perform physical activities including bending, lifting, and prolonged sitting or standing.

Skills Required

• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Familiarity with electronic inventory management systems.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills (preferred).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.

Education/Training/Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in seed production, manufacturing, warehouse, or a related field.

Additional Requirements

• Must pass a drug screening
• Shift Start: 06:00 AM
• Ability to lift, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work overtime and extended hours during peak seasons.
• Ability to comply with all workplace safety policies and procedures.

Pay Rate/Salary

• Estimated Salary: $15.15 to $23.15 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.
