The responsibilities of a Service Technician include diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles GM training and ASE certificate a plus, and great communication skills.

Service Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
- Perform video/digital multi-point inspection, test drive, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair to manufacture standards.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.
- Provide estimates for time and associated needs for repairs and additional recommedations.
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
Service Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience as a GM technician
- Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance:
- Oil changes
- Tires
- Brakes
- Battery
- Fluid flushes
- Light suspension work
- Tune Up
- Belts/hose repair
- Fast, eager learner and team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems.
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Clean driving record & valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a drug and background check.
