Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM's Buildings + Places Structural Engineering team in Roanoke, VA** is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join the team! This is a wonderful growth opportunity for hands-on experience and mentorship from a team of Engineers and Project Managers. This team works on a mix of Federal and non-Federal projects across the US and the globe. We work on a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office with the team and 2 days remote. **This job is available immediately.** **In this role, the Entry-Level Structural Engineer:** * Builds analytic and design skills. * Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer. * Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer. * Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer. * Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems. * Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering concentration or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education + Due to the nature of the work, must be a United States Citizen **Preferred Qualifications:** + Engineer in Training (EIT) certification + Master's degree with a Structural Engineering concentration + Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel + Structural problem analysis skills (including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools, software) + Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with clients in a professional manner + Strong organizational and analytical skills + Available for periodic travel + Relevant intern/co-op/work experience + Academic classes, projects or experience through internships or work that include design experience with concrete, steel, wood, masonry, and/or foundations + Exposure to Revit is a plus **Additional Information** Relocation assistance is not available. Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
