As part of our team, you will work on projects related to municipal wastewater treatment plants, which may include treatment plant studies, expansions, and critical projects to help maintain a safe, sustainable and resilient environment for our community.ResponsibilitiesPerforming engineering work in wastewater treatment facilitiesWastewater process modeling and statistical data analysisDevelopment of alternative analysis for design optionsWork on engineering planning and design projectsPrepare reports and make client presentationsDevelop plans and specificationsPrepare cost estimates for various wastewater projectsPrepare technical memoranda and reportsQualificationsMaster's or PhD in Civil or Environmental EngineeringStrong verbal and written communication skillsWork well in a team environmentHas the ability to communicate effectively with peers and mentorsMinimum academic requirements include coursework in physical and biological wastewater treatment processes, wastewater treatment plant design, statistics and hydraulicsApplication of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques0 to 4 years of using commercial software to conduct biological modelling and/or process mechanical design related to wastewater treatmentPreferred QualificationsPhD in Civil or Environmental Engineering with experience in designing experimentsWastewater modeling using BioWin, GPSX and/or SumoEIT/FE certificateInternship experience within consulting engineeringPay Range$80,000 to $100,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
