OverviewWHKS has an opportunity for an entry-level Water/Wastewater Engineer with 4+ years of experience who is interested in working with a wide variety of challenging engineering projects. WHKS offers excellent compensation and benefits, as well as work schedule flexibility.ResponsibilitiesComplete modeling and design of wastewater treatment and collection, and water treatment and distribution systemsPrepare engineering plans, plan specifications and other contract documents for the design of water/wastewater systems including distribution and collection mains, lift stations, siphons, and treatment facilitiesPrepare design calculations and technical reportsResearch issues related to wastewater that impact individual projectsObserve construction projects related to collection, distribution, and treatment systemsCoordinate with engineers and technicians on a variety of challenging engineering tasks in a collaborative team environmentPerform project management to include effective communication with clients to develop strong relationships, review project needs, and secure contractsQualificationsBachelor's of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree4+ years of experience in water/wastewater systems designValid driver's licenseAbility to prioritize and complete multiple tasks at a timeStrong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors and peersExcellent computer skillsDesirable Qualifications (candidate need not have all to apply)Experience or education in hydraulics and fluid mechanicsExperience or education in chemistry and process design for water and/or wastewater treatment facilitiesExperience in field work and/or construction observationGeographic Information Systems (GIS)SewerGEMS or InfoSWMM modelingAutoCAD mechanical drafting, AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation#J-18808-Ljbffr
