Job Title: Entry Phlebotomist I
Location: Aventura, FL
Duration: 4+ Months (Possible Extension)

Work Schedule

  • Monday – Friday: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Saturday: 6:30 AM – 11:30 AM

Job Overview

The Entry Phlebotomist I (Patient Service Representative I) plays a key role in delivering exceptional patient care by serving as the first point of contact in the facility. This role is primarily focused on lobby support and patient check-in, ensuring a welcoming, professional, and supportive environment.

The incumbent will assist patients with the check-in process, address questions with empathy and professionalism, and maintain the organization and flow of the waiting area. Additionally, this role provides support to the phlebotomy team by covering breaks and performing basic specimen collection duties as needed, offering opportunities to further develop phlebotomy skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them during the check-in process using kiosks or handheld devices
  • Provide clear, compassionate communication to ease patient concerns and explain procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional lobby environment
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and accurate handling of personal information
  • Support phlebotomy operations by assisting in draw rooms and covering staff breaks
  • Perform basic phlebotomy and specimen collection/processing when required
  • Follow established procedures for both clinical and forensic specimen collection
  • Maintain records and documentation accurately and timely
  • Promote a positive image of the organization through professionalism and service excellence
  • Adhere to safety, compliance, and quality standards at all times
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn and adapt to new skills and responsibilities

Required Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required – No exceptions)

Experience

  • 1–2 years of customer-facing experience (Retail, Hospitality, Healthcare, Home Health Aide, etc.)
  • Basic phlebotomy experience required
  • Strong data entry and keyboarding skills
