Job Description: Entry Phlebotomist I / Patient Service Representative (PSR I)
Location: Boca Raton, FL
Duration: 4+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Weekends Included)
Position Overview
We are seeking an Entry Phlebotomist I / Patient Service Representative (PSR I) to join our team. This role is primarily focused on front-desk patient interaction (Lobby Greeter) while also supporting phlebotomy duties as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
The PSR I plays a critical role in creating a welcoming and professional environment by assisting patients during check-in and ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience throughout their visit.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in using kiosks or handheld tablets
- Provide clear instructions and answer patient questions with care and professionalism
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the waiting/lobby area
- Create a positive, calm, and trustworthy environment for patients
- Support phlebotomists by covering breaks and assisting in the draw room as needed
- Perform basic phlebotomy duties and specimen collection following established procedures
- Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of patient information
- Complete required documentation and maintain records
- Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and staff
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a professional work environment
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and grow within the organization
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High level of customer service skills (MANDATORY)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate and patient-focused mindset
- Ability to multitask between lobby duties and clinical support
- Comfort using technology (kiosks, tablets, data entry systems)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED – no exceptions)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of customer-facing experience (e.g., retail, healthcare, hospitality, home health aide, etc.)
- Some phlebotomy experience required
- Keyboarding and data entry experience required
Work Environment
- Primarily based in the lobby/front desk as a patient greeter
- Occasional work in phlebotomy draw room as needed
