Job Title: ENTRY Phlebotomist I

Job Location: Coral Springs, FL

Duration: 3 months (possible extension)

Shift Schedule: Monday-Saturday 6am-12pm, working every Saturday

Summary:
Join our team in Coral Springs, FL, where you will play a crucial role in patient care. As a Phlebotomist I, you will greet patients with care and compassion, address their questions, and assist with maintaining the integrity of the waiting area. This position offers an opportunity to grow within the company by utilizing your Phlebotomy skills. You will create an atmosphere of trust and confidence, ensuring patients understand the procedures while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of information.

Responsibilities:

• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.

• Maintain a safe and professional environment.

• Maintain required records and documentation.

• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general along with a willingness to learn new skills.

Required Skills:

• Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check-ins in the lobby through either a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet.

• Be willing to work both in the lobby and in a draw room with patients to help with breaks that need to be covered.

• Perform with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.

• High level of customer service experience/skills are required - this is critical to the heart of the role.

• High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED - no exceptions.

• Phlebotomy experience is required, even if just an intern/externship to learn the basics.

• Minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing customer service REQUIRED (Retail, Home Health Aide, etc).

• Some Phlebotomy experience is REQUIRED.

• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.
