    Description

    The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machinery to bend, shape, and form sheet metal and plate materials to precise specifications. This role requires knowledge of press brake operations, blueprint reading, and metal fabrication techniques to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and quality in production.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Set up, adjust, and operate press brake equipment to produce metal parts according to work orders and blueprints

    • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate part dimensions and tolerances

    • Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, protractors, gauges) to ensure compliance with specifications.

    • Input and adjust machine programs, bend allowances, and tooling setups for efficient production runs.

    • Select, install, and maintain press brake tooling, dies, and punches; perform routine maintenance and report mechanical issues

    • Work to minimize waste and downtime while following all safety policies and procedures.

    • Communicate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to resolve production issues and improve processes

    Qualifications:

    • Strong knowledge of sheet metal and fabrication bend calculations.

    • Proficiency with press brake programming and setup.

    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T symbols, and work orders.

    • Skilled in precision measuring instruments

    • Ability to regularly lift objects up to 50 pounds.

    • Self-motivated

    • On-time and reliable.

    • At least 1 year of hands-on experience operating CNC press brakes in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.SUMMARY
