Environment, Health and Safety Manager

Provide is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs at a chemical manufacturing facility. You'll own site compliance end to end — permitting, reporting, audits, training — and drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the plant. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who knows chemical plant EHS cold and wants to be the go‑to safety leader on site.Key ResponsibilitiesCompliance & ReportingEnsure site compliance with all EHS regulations, including preparing site permitting documents on timePrepare and submit all required regulatory reporting, including wastewater quarterly/annual reports and inspections, Tier II, STEERS, Form R (TRI), Storm Water Annual Report, industrial hazardous waste reports, Pollution Prevention (P2) Plans, and TCEQ operating status reportsMaintain organized, audit‑ready EHS records and documentationDevelop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and site communication materials in compliance with OSHA, EPA, PSM, and other applicable regulationsConduct risk assessments and drive corrective actions to mitigate workplace hazardsLead incident investigations and root cause analysis; ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and followed upLeadership & TrainingDevelop and deliver EHS training programs for employees and contractors, including powered industrial truck (PIT) certification — forklift, boom lift, scissor liftMentor site personnel on regulatory compliance, internal procedures, and industry standardsFoster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement — be the positive change agent on siteAudits & PerformanceConduct internal audits and lead/coordinate external regulatory inspections — keep the site inspection‑ready at all timesPartner with the Site Manager / Industrial Director to build and maintain an EHS KPI dashboard tracking site improvementKeep stakeholders informed through regular and on‑request communicationsLead or participate in cross‑functional company initiativesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field5+ years of EHS experience in a chemical manufacturing environment, including in an EHS Manager or similar leadership roleHands‑on experience preparing site permitting documentsDirect experience preparing and filing EHS regulatory reports (Tier II, STEERS, Form R, Storm Water, etc.)Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, PSM, PHA, DOT, and environmental regulationsExperience with hazardous and flammable chemicals, waste management, and chemical industry site permittingProven experience with risk assessment, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologiesStrong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and drive organizational changeProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Preferred QualificationsCSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), Six Sigma, or equivalentDeep experience with Process Safety Management (PSM), PHA, and hazardous chemical handlingKnowledge of business and management principles — budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocationWork Environment & Physical DemandsThis role works in an active chemical plant with both indoor and outdoor activity and periods of exposure to the elements. PPE is required in designated areas, including ear and respiratory protection, hard hat, safety glasses, steel‑toed boots, gloves, and chemical protective suits. The position is physically active — standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders — with frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. Occasional permit‑controlled confined space entry may be required.
