We're looking for someone to join our team as a Environment of Care Specialist who:
The Environment of Care (EOC) Specialist supports the Emergency Planning & Environment of Care Manager in implementing, coordinating, and continuously improving Clinica Sierra Vista's Emergency Management and Environment of Care programs across all facilities. The Specialist assists with regulatory readiness, safety compliance, emergency preparedness, site inspections, training, documentation, committee coordination, and operational support to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Essential Functions:
Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing emergency preparedness activities and drills.
Support emergency preparedness training, documentation, and reporting.
Maintain Emergency Operations Plans (EOPs), emergency procedures, and response protocols.
Support incident documentation, communications, and resource tracking during emergencies.
Perform monthly Environment of Care rounds and fire extinguisher inspections.
Analyze inspection trends and prepare reports for leadership review.
Support Joint Commission Environment of Care and Life Safety compliance activities.
Assist with safety education, new employee orientation, and annual training.
Coordinate EOC Committee meetings, agendas, minutes, and follow-up items.
Assist with updates to policies, procedures, forms, and program documentation.
Maintain emergency supplies, disaster kits, and readiness inventories.
Support regulatory surveys, audits, mock surveys, and site visits.
Collaborate with Facilities, Compliance, HR, Security, and Operations to resolve safety concerns.
Maintain records using Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
Other duties as assigned.
