JOB SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Environmental Protection Board (EPB) of the City of Stamford and its Executive Director, performs professional and technical assignments to assist in the implementation of local environmental regulations, policies and programs; does related work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering, Wetland Ecology, Physical Earth Sciences, Biology, or a directly related field and two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in environmental assessment, resource management or a related field.
Note: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in an above-noted educational field may be used to substitute for one (1) year of work experience.
Special Requirement: At time of appointment, possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license.
SCOPE EXAMINATION: The examination will consist of an evaluation of the applicant's education, training, and experience as submitted on the application and Training and Experience Questionnaire. The evaluation will be based on the relevance and depth of the applicant's background as it relates to the duties and minimum qualifications of the position.
There will be no written examination for this position. Applicants are therefore advised to provide complete and detailed information regarding their education, work history, and any specialized training or certifications relevant to the requirements of the position.
