What are we looking for?
The Environmental Asbestos Technician I is responsible for supporting the Environmental department in all services including asbestos surveys, asbestos third party monitoring, lead-based paint survey and more. This person will complete fieldwork as well as work on technical reports. This position will require some overnight regional travel.
Shift/Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM (may vary)
What youll do:

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
BS in Environmental Science or 5 years experience in the asbestos consulting or abatement industry
Some experience in asbestos, lead-based paint, and/or mold inspecting, sampling, assessment, etc.
Current or expired Asbestos Inspector License State of Missouri or ability to apply for license within the first 30 days of employment (Intertek will pay for class/licensing)
Must be detail-oriented, and a team player with excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Must be computer literate and able to operate most field/office equipment relating to ones discipline
Must be able to climb ladders and lift, move, push, and pull items with weights in excess of 30 pounds multiple times as needed to complete project requirements
Valid Driver''s License and reliable driving record, 15% travel
Must be able to work off shifts and overtime and willing to work out of town occasionally
