Our client is a respected environmental and civil general contractor that delivers complex sitework, environmental remediation, infrastructure, utility, demolition, and earthwork projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Known for its commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction, the company continues to expand its project portfolio and is seeking an experienced Superintendent to support ongoing growth.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily field activities on environmental and civil construction projects.
• Coordinate and supervise company crews, subcontractors, vendors, and equipment.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved.
• Enforce company safety policies and maintain compliance with OSHA and project-specific requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
• Coordinate work with project managers, engineers, owners, and regulatory agencies.
• Monitor labor productivity, equipment utilization, and project costs.
• Review project plans, specifications, permits, and contract documents.
• Track quantities, field reports, daily logs, and project documentation.
• Identify and resolve field issues proactively to minimize delays.
• Ensure quality control standards are met throughout project execution.
• Participate in project meetings and provide regular progress updates.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of superintendent experience within civil construction, environmental remediation, utility, heavy highway, or site development projects.
• Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, utilities, demolition, earthwork, and environmental construction practices.
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors and field personnel.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout New Jersey.
