Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Environmental Cleaner to support operations within a regulated manufacturing and cleanroom environment. This position is responsible for maintaining environmental cleanliness, supporting facility safety initiatives, and ensuring production areas meet established cleanliness and compliance standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a GMP/GDP-controlled environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non-routine cleaning and sanitization of cleanroom and production areas.
- Follow established SOPs, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and cleanroom gowning procedures.
- Prepare cleaning, disinfectant, and rinse solutions for daily production activities.
- Maintain cleanroom environmental controls and facility cleanliness standards.
- Complete all required cleaning documentation accurately and on time.
- Conduct inspections and perform preventative environmental maintenance tasks.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and environmental materials.
- Follow proper PPE requirements and safe handling/disposal procedures for cleaning chemicals and waste.
- Report safety concerns, incidents, and equipment issues promptly.
- Participate in department safety meetings and support Environmental Management System (EMS) initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with production and department leaders to ensure cleaning schedules are met.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous janitorial, environmental services, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, medical device, food production, or cleanroom experience is preferred.
- Ability to follow written procedures and accurately complete documentation.
- Comfortable wearing required PPE and cleanroom garments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
