We believe that each day is an opportunity to support one another, to support our clients, and to support our communities. If you feel the same, then you’ve found your future.

We are seeking an Environmental Compliance Engineer to join our Environmental Compliance team. This role is ideal for an experienced environmental professional who thrives in a fast-paced consulting environment and enjoys balancing technical work, client interaction, and field activities.

In this role, you will support a variety of industrial and environmental compliance projects, helping clients navigate complex environmental regulations while developing practical and sustainable solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects involving air permitting, wastewater compliance, stormwater management, hazardous waste support, and industrial compliance services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare environmental compliance plans including SWPPPs, SPCC Plans, and Contingency Plans
  • Independently develop air permit and wastewater permit applications
  • Complete annual environmental compliance reports such as Tier II, Form R, Title V, permit-by-rule, and Biennial Reports
  • Perform air emissions calculations and wastewater reporting
  • Conduct AST and UST compliance inspections
  • Support industrial wastewater and underground storage tank design projects
  • Perform onsite contract compliance services at client facilities
  • Conduct stormwater and wastewater discharge sampling and prepare technical summary reports
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality client solutions
  • Assist clients in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of environmental compliance or related consulting experience
  • Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present technical information
  • Strong technical writing skills, including preparation of reports, compliance documentation, and technical memoranda
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
  • Willingness to travel approximately 60% within the state for project and client needs

This is a hybrid role, offering the best of both worlds—collaborate in-office with a high-performing team and enjoy the flexibility of working remotely part of the week. We're committed to supporting work-life balance while maintaining strong team connection and project delivery.
