Position SummaryEthic Tech, LLC is seeking an Environmental Energy Specialist to support operations at Norfolk Naval Station. The Environmental / Energy Specialist ensures contractor operations comply with Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements, Installation Energy Plans, and applicable environmental and sustainability standards. This position supports environmental compliance, energy efficiency initiatives, and sustainability objectives in accordance with federal, Department of Defense (DoD), and installation-specific requirements. This position is contingent upon contract award. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and monitor environmental and energy management programs in support of contract requirements and installation sustainability goals.Ensure contractor compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and installation environmental laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.Support Environmental Management System (EMS) implementation and compliance.Monitor and track energy and water conservation initiatives and sustainability efforts. Identify and recommend opportunities to improve environmental compliance, energy efficiency, and sustainability performance.Coordinate with government representatives, installation personnel, and contractor leadership on environmental and sustainability matters. Maintain required environmental, energy, and sustainability documentation, reports, and records in accordance with contract requirements.Support inspections, audits, and corrective action processes related to environmental and energy compliance. Ensure contractor operations align with Installation Energy Plans and sustainability objectives.Perform other duties as assigned in support of contract environmental and energy management requirements. Required Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Energy Management, Sustainability, or related field preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting environmental compliance, environmental management systems, or energy management programs in a government, military, industrial, or commercial environment. Working knowledge of Environmental Management Systems (EMS).Familiarity with environmental compliance requirements, sustainability practices, and energy and water conservation initiatives. Ability to maintain records and prepare compliance documentation and reports. Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Navy, or federal facility operations. Experience supporting Installation Energy Plans or sustainability programs. Familiarity with federal environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives. Installation Access Requirements This position is located on a military installation. The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain base access as a condition of employment.Base access is granted by the U.S. Government and requires successful completion of an installation access background check conducted by the Government. This background check is separate from and in addition to Ethic Tech, LLC's pre-employment background screening.Failure to obtain or maintain installation access may result in withdrawal of the employment offer or termination of employment. Work Environment This position operates in both office and operational environments within a military installation.
