    Environmental Engineer – Industrial Compliance- Texas PermanentRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to lead regulatory compliance and environmental performance across complex chemical manufacturing operations. This role combines technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and hands‑on program management to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable operations. The ideal candidate will drive environmental strategy, mentor teams, and interface with internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies.Key ResponsibilitiesLead environmental compliance programs, including air, water, and waste regulations, permitting, and reporting.Develop and implement compliance strategies to minimize operational and financial risks.Review process and operational changes to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.Prepare and submit environmental permits and reports (e.g., Title V, NSR, RCRA, air emissions).Conduct audits, field inspections, and incident investigations to ensure regulatory adherence.Provide training and guidance to operational, maintenance, and project teams on environmental requirements.Interface with regulatory agencies and participate in audits, negotiations, and public or industry forums.Support environmental planning for capital projects, turnarounds, and sustainability initiatives.Analyze and interpret environmental data, performance trends, and emerging regulations to inform decision‑making.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.7+ years of experience in industrial chemical or petrochemical environmental compliance.Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, including air, water, and waste programs.Experience with environmental permitting, audits, and regulatory reporting.Demonstrated ability to lead projects, mentor teams, and influence cross‑functional stakeholders.Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and environmental software tools.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsWork includes both office and plant environments, with occasional exposure to chemicals, noise, and high temperatures.Ability to conduct field inspections, walk‑throughs, and emergency response activities.Must meet basic physical requirements for lifting, walking, standing, and observing operational conditions.Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.Career development, mentoring, and professional training opportunities.Hybrid work options and flexible scheduling.Engage in sustainability initiatives and continuous environmental improvement.#J-18808-Ljbffr
