Environmental Engineer

Our client, a leading manufacturer in the aluminum rolled products industry, is seeking a Environmental Engineer to join their team.

As an Environmental Engineer, you will be part of the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) department supporting operational excellence and regulatory compliance. 

Job Title: Environmental Engineer

Location: Lewisport, KY 

Pay Range: $100,000 - $130,000

What's the Job?

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including EPA standards for air, water, and waste management.
• Manage and maintain environmental permits, including renewals, reporting, and inspections to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Develop, implement, and monitor environmental policies, procedures, and systems to surpass regulatory standards.
• Collect, evaluate, and maintain accurate environmental data and records, ensuring confidentiality and integrity.
• Provide technical leadership during environmental audits, emergency response situations, and incident investigations.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental compliance within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, including permits, reporting, and audits.
• Experience with ISO 14001 environmental management systems.
• Strong analytical, technical writing, and problem-solving skills, along with effective interpersonal and communication abilities.
