The Environmental Protection Division is continuously recruiting Environmental Engineers to protect Georgia's air, land, and water resources.
They conduct inspections, enforce environmental laws, review permits, and support remediation projects through their District Offices across the state, including the Macon, GA West Central District.
Responsibilities include data collection, facility inspections, compliance monitoring, review of engineering plans, environmental reporting, and fieldwork, with occasional travel.
Applicants are hired into various levels (Engineer 1, 2, or 3) based on education and experience, with salaries ranging from $58,240 to $70,470.
Minimum qualifications include a relevant bachelor’s degree; experience requirements vary by level. Preferred qualifications may be added.
