Job Specifications
The City of Tallahassee is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Engineer to join its Environmental Regulatory Compliance Division. This is a responsible and impactful position supporting the Citys commitment to environmental stewardship and regulatory excellence.
This professional role provides engineering, technical, and regulatory expertise to ensure compliance across City services and facilities. The selected candidate will play a key role in planning, organizing, and implementing programs that maintain and enhance environmental compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
This position operates under the direction of the Environmental Regulatory Compliance Administrator and requires a high degree of independence, initiative, and professional judgment. Performance is evaluated through conferences, reports, and overall results achieved.

Minimum Training & Experience

Must obtain registration as a professional engineer in the State of Florida within 24 months of employment as a condition of continued employment.
Salary Range
$29.0888 to $78.9348/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $55.2715/hour
Drivers License Requirements
Must possess a valid Class-E State drivers license at the time of appointment.
