What You'll Do:

Develop and maintain environmental policies, processes, and compliance documentation; interpret federal, state, and local regulations
Assess environmental risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and prepare required regulatory documentation
Lead or support environmental project planning — scheduling, cost estimation, impact assessments, and reporting
Prepare and submit complex environmental permit applications, renewals, and variances, maintaining permitting schedules aligned with project milestones
Monitor regulatory changes (FERC, NEPA, Clean Water Act, ESA, NHPA) and coordinate construction-phase compliance requirements through closure

Must-Have Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required
Minimum 4 years of environmental experience
Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental permitting processes, including FERC and NEPA requirements
Ability to manage multiple permits across large-scale projects with aggressive deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for agency coordination and stakeholder engagement
