They develop SOPs and JHAs, manage OSHA and EPA compliance, and oversee safety training, audits, and inspections, including regulatory agency interactions.
The role involves maintaining safety records, supporting internal and external audits, and coordinating safety programs like workers' compensation and return-to-work initiatives.
Travel between plants is expected, and the position requires collaboration, leadership, and confidentiality.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (preferred), 3+ years of safety experience in manufacturing, relevant certifications, and strong technical skills. Physical environment includes both office and manufacturing settings with PPE requirements.
