The EHS Manager will provide leadership and coordination of health, safety, and environmental functions within a manufacturing environment.The ideal candidate will have experience creating initiatives and implementing programs and procedures that drive a culture of safety compliance and environmental excellence, while ensuring the company remains compliant with all governmental and organizational regulations and standards.Job Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:Manage and maintain current and accurate safety policies, manuals, and procedures to ensure a safe work environmentEnsure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, as well as corporate guidelines and policiesDevelop effective training programs that meet legal requirements and reinforce a culture of safetyProvide formal and informal safety training to employees, supervisors, and managersManage emergency action plans for employees and facility operationsConduct safety orientation for all new employees and visiting contractorsServe as the safety representative for new equipment installationsLead and facilitate periodic Safety Committee meetings for plant and management staffPerform safety audits throughout the facility for both internal and external requirementsManage workers' compensation claims and coordinate with insurance carriers and brokersConduct risk assessments across departments and recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and practicesObserve employees and provide coaching on unsafe behaviors and conditionsCommunicate regulatory and permit requirements to plant personnelMaintain inventory of personal protective equipment (PPE)Prepare safety budget recommendations and analyze/report on variancesAct as the facility security administratorMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with safety procedures and equipment operating rulesParticipate in meetings and cross-functional teams to integrate activities, resolve issues, and stay current on regulatory and policy updatesJob Requirements Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related technical discipline5+ years of EHS experience in an industrial or manufacturing environmentStrong leadership, influencing, and decision-making skillsExcellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to drive performance and process improvementsCompany Benefits Positive and supportive work environmentCompetitive compensationComprehensive benefits package, including:Medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) planPaid time off (PTO)Equal Opportunity Employer Sofidel America is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to the spirit and letter of all federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to equal opportunity.Pay: From $90,000.00 per yearApplication Questions Can you describe your experience ensuring compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations in a manufacturing setting?
