Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.What You Will DoThe Environmental, Health and Safety Professional will act as a partner in EH&S by formulating and administering EH&S plans and procedures including EH&S Program Management.Partner with the leadership team and line supervision to ensure EH&S regulatory compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and adherence to P&W procedures and RTX EH&S Standard Practices.Identify health & safety hazards and controls to mitigate risks.Assist the EH&S team with tracking implementation of EH&S initiatives and projects across the organization.Gather data on open items from PW sites on Safety, Health, and Risk Reduction metrics or projects.Support implementation of the Pratt & Whitney EH&S Management system.Organize and maintain assigned EH&S policies to achieve and maintain compliance with regulations.Participate in the site EH&S Council.Conduct safety inspections and analyze audit findings to develop corrective actions and achieve and maintain safe work practices.Develop and implement environmental compliance protocols, such as data reporting requirements/methodology to encourage consistent and compliant behavior for the site.Collaborate with EH&S Management to include Legal, consultants, and regulatory services to review and interpret EH&S regulations.Collaborating with site professionals to address environmental compliance issues.Conduct training/educational programs to ensure compliance with EHS regulations, focusing on the safe handling, storage, and disposal of materials to prevent pollution and hazards.Perform tasks associated with site compliance as a member of the Sites EH&S team.Support EH&S Compliance Assurance audits by RTX, Pratt & Whitney, or regulatory agencies for assigned programs.Develop and manage compliance strategies to minimize and mistake-proof regulatory compliance risks, including onsite visual inspections and audits.Conduct Environment Health and Safety inspections and analyze audit findings to develop corrective actions and achieve and maintain safe work practices.Investigate events to identify root causes and develop corrective actions.Develop and implement strategic EH&S initiatives and coordinate/drive the necessary tactical resources/elements to achieve and maintain successful implementation.Maintain accurate records of inspections, permits, reports, and corrective actions.Develop and support corporate, third‑party audits, inspections, and regulatory inspections.Monitor regulatory changes and communicate changes to site leadership.All other duties as assigned.Qualifications You Must HaveBachelors Degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or other Sciences or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.Qualifications We PreferExperience leading sustainability initiatives within industrial environment.Hands‑on experience and dynamic problem‑solver with the ability to craft solutions to everyday challenges with creative new ideas.Written and verbal skills with ability to communicate in a straightforward manner.Demonstrated technical knowledge of manufacturing processes.Team leadership skills including influence, delegation, and management.Core values including Ethical Behavior, Customer Focused Improvement, Accountability & Teamwork, Openness & Trust.Organizational / project management skills.Demonstrated record of improvement in EHS metrics and culture culminating in successful audits.Experience in risk assessment and reduction.Benefits and CompensationThe salary range for this role is $68,900 USD – $131,100 USD.Hired applicants may be eligible for the following benefits:MedicalDentalVisionLife insuranceShort‑term disabilityLong‑term disability401(k) matchFlexible spending accountsFlexible work schedulesEmployee assistance programEmployee Scholar ProgramParental leavePaid time offHolidaysHired applicants may be eligible for annual short‑term and/or long‑term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective‑bargaining agreement.
