Crysalis Biosciences, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality (EHS&Q) Manager.
In this role, our EHS&Q Manager will work to ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards while maintaining alignment with regulatory policies, company goals, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate has a strong background in regulatory compliance, quality management, and reporting. This individual will help us ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee 24-hour plant operations related to Quality Assurance, EHS, Employee
Training, and Compliance.
Develop and maintain a safety training program
Champion a culture of “Safety First” and “Right the First Time.”
Serve as a member of the Plant Leadership Team, contributing to goal-setting,
planning, and performance review.
Manage QA/QC, Safety, Environmental Control, Regulatory Reporting, and
Permitting programs.
Implement QA/QC practices consistent with the best industry standards for the
ethanol industry.
Supervise QA laboratory technicians and ensure that they receive appropriate
training and resources.
Maintain compliance with all city, county, state, and federal regulations.
Prepare analytical reports and recommend operational improvements to help
ensure quality products, a safe working environment, and regulatory
compliance.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
Proven experience in compliance, quality management, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting and safety standards.
Excellent project management and leadership skills.
Experience with quality audits and quality management systems is an asset.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform confined space entry, climb ladders and steps, and lift
a minimum of 50 lbs.
Must be able to work in outdoor environments, including exposure to heat,
cold, wind, rain, snow, and slippery surfaces.
Exposure to high noise levels, chemicals, and moving mechanical parts.
Must be able and willing to work safely, including wearing and using
task-specific appropriate personal protective equipment.
