    Available Shift- Monday-Friday 3:00pm-12:00am

    The Safety Coordinator supports the implementation and monitoring of the organization's safety programs. This role is responsible for conducting basic safety audits, providing safety training, and assisting in the development of safety policies and procedures. The Safety Coordinator works closely with employees to ensure adherence to safety protocols and helps to identify and address potential hazards.

    • Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
    • Conduct routine safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
    • Provide basic safety training and education to employees.
    • Assist in investigating accidents and incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
    • Monitor and maintain safety equipment and supplies.
    • Assist in the development of emergency response plans and coordinate drills.
    • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
    • Support the Safety Manager in analyzing safety performance metrics.
    • Promote awareness of safety practices and protocols among employees.
    • Stay informed about current safety regulations and industry best practices.
    • Performs jobsite Safety Evaluations in multiple areas
    • Conduct safety meetings as a result of a safety deficiency on site
    • Performs PPE inspections when applicable and maintain log with inspection dates
    • Responsible for purchasing and distributing safety equipment for employees
    • Perform additional duties as assigned

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree preferred (preferably in environmental health and safety
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required
    • EMT-A or Paramedic certification highly desired with a willingness to learn occupational safety standards
    • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards as applicable to manufacturing
    • Ability to train, motivate, and influence team members
