The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator supports the development, implementation, and management of workplace safety and environmental programs. This role assists with incident investigations, safety audits, regulatory compliance activities, and employee training to ensure adherence to applicable safety standards and environmental requirements. The position works closely with site leadership to promote a safe work environment and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinate and perform routine workplace safety audits, including monthly and annual assessmentsConduct emergency preparedness drills (e.g., fire and severe weather) and report outcomes to site leadershipAdminister occupational health programs such as hearing conservation testingInvestigate workplace incidents, injuries, and safety events, documenting findings and contributing to root cause analysisDeliver safety orientation and onboarding training for new employeesPerform daily safety observations and routine facility walkthroughsFacilitate recurring safety meetings and promote employee engagement in safety initiativesMaintain the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management systemDevelop, implement, and monitor adherence to site‑specific safety procedures and programsConduct safety inspections and risk assessments prior to and during operational activitiesProvide safety training and guidance on regulatory requirements and safe equipment operationRecommend corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safetyMaintain accurate documentation related to safety programs, incidents, and compliance recordsServe as a liaison between internal teams and external agencies such as regulatory bodies, emergency services, and insurance representativesSupport additional safety and environmental initiatives as requiredREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIESStrong organizational and time management skills with attention to detailEffective written and verbal communication skills, including training deliveryProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Ability to collaborate across multiple functions and organizational levelsExperience with data tracking, reporting, and safety metrics analysisAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast‑paced environmentFlexibility to support multi‑shift operations as neededWorking knowledge of regulatory standards, including OSHA and applicable environmental regulationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate or bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or related field preferredMinimum of 2 years of experience in a safety, environmental, or EHS‑related role preferredExperience in manufacturing, industrial, or production environments preferredProfessional certifications such as OSHA 30‑hour training or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) are advantageousWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWork performed in a manufacturing or industrial environment with exposure to machinery and production equipmentMay involve exposure to elevated noise levels and varying temperaturesRegular walking throughout operational areas, including non‑climate‑controlled spacesOccasional lifting of materials up to approximately 25 poundsRequired use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety footwear#J-18808-Ljbffr
