Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Officer Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Officer to support and oversee safety operations across 19 facilities . This role will partner closely with the Director of Corporate Services to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment.

The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety program implementation, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Officer Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce environmental health & safety policies across all facilities
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure OSHA compliance and identify safety risks
• Administer fire safety programs, inspections, testing, and documentation
• Lead incident tracking, reporting, and corrective action coordination
• Develop and deliver EH&S training programs and maintain LMS materials
• Serve as liaison between internal teams and external vendors/contractors
• Support emergency preparedness planning and crisis management initiatives
• Manage safety-related work orders and ensure timely resolution
• Assist with environmental permits, licenses, and regulatory reporting
• Monitor hazardous material exposure and ensure compliance
• Maintain safety documentation, reports, and SharePoint filing systems
• Collaborate with HR on incident reporting and safety metrics
• Support corporate services reporting and operational coordination
• Promote continuous improvement in workplace safety practices

Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Officer Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree REQUIRED
• 10–20+ years of experience (based on education level):
• • Bachelor’s: 12+ years
  • Master’s: 10+ years
  • Associate’s: 14+ years
  • High School Diploma: 20+ years
• Active Safety Certification REQUIRED (one of the following):
• • Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
  • Occupational Health & Safety Technologist (OHST)
  • Or equivalent certification
• U.S. Citizenship REQUIRED
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance standards
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint
• Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities
• Ability to develop and deliver safety training programs
• Experience with facilities operations, handling/shipping, and vendor coordination

Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Officer Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Environmental Health & Safety, Facilities Management, or related field
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• High attention to detail and organizational ability
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments

Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Officer Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods across multiple facilities
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to bend, stretch, climb ladders, and crawl for inspections
