What you'll do:
As the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager - Field Operations, you will serve as the primary safety partner for QXO's field operations, supporting framing, construction, installation, and project-based activities across the region. You will work closely with field leaders, project managers, and operational teams to ensure the effective execution of QXO's EHS programs and standards across 60-70 sites.
This highly visible role requires extensive field presence and travel throughout the region to evaluate jobsite conditions, coach leaders, identify and mitigate risks, investigate incidents, and drive continuous improvement. The EHS Manager will be responsible for promoting a proactive safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and helping operational teams safely execute work while achieving business objectives.
Field Safety Leadership & Program Execution
Construction Safety & Regulatory Compliance
Maintain expert knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards (29 CFR 1926) and other applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations.
Monitor field operations for compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Provide guidance on high-risk activities including:
Fall protection
Framing operations
Ladder safety
Scaffolding
Powered industrial trucks and equipment
Electrical safety
Lockout/Tagout
Excavation and trenching
Material handling and rigging
Personal protective equipment (PPE)
Support regulatory inspections and audits and assist operational teams in addressing findings and corrective actions.

What you'll bring:
Physical Requirements:
Travel up to 60-75% throughout the assigned region to support field operations and project sites
Company vehicle provided
10% overnight travel (as needed)
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and active construction environments.
Ability to walk uneven terrain, climb ladders, access elevated work areas, and navigate active jobsites.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and perform site inspections.
Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Prolonged periods of driving, standing, walking, and computer work.
