Strong People/ Comm Skills, this team works with EVERY dept in the plant and will be on 2nd shift with little leadership so will need to be able to think on their feet quickly. Someone who has strong experience in manufacturing large equipment, CNC, heavy fabrication backgrounds would make a great fit.Full manufacturing assembly plant True manufacturing experience At least 3- or 5-years' experience Familiar with the manufacturing environment Machinery/safety lock out tag out experience Environmental experience, dealing with hazardous or non-hazardous waste Very personable, good team player, flexible lots of machines, robotics Union facility, union experience a plusJob Description Assist with the implementation of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies, practices, guidelines, and procedures. Identify location-specific requirements for each area and participate in the development of related programs and policies.Assist in developing training programs and conduct training to comply with regulatory corporate EHS initiatives.Supervise the incident/accident investigation process including root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are completed.Conduct environment, health and safety audits and risk assessments. Participate in external EHS compliance audits and loss prevention audits.Coordinate the completion of all corrective actions with site personnel resulting from risk assessments, compliance audits or loss prevention audits.Liaise with facilities maintenance and property management personnel to ensure appropriate fire and life safety controls are in place and maintained.Oversee and implement permitting requirements for air, water, and land jurisdictional requirements.Serve as a site contact point for government inquiries relating to EHS.Experience/Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field of studyExtensive knowledge of health and safety engineering processes and practicesAbility to manage and control various health and safety issuesFamiliarity with ISO environment regulations and principlesSkill in evaluating and minimizing physical and chemical hazardsAbility to research and apply best industrial and working practicesMinimum 1-2 years of experience in an environmental, health and safety or similar role.Awareness of changes in laws and regulationsStrong teamwork and project leadership abilitiesExceptional organizational and interpersonal skillsEffective management and multitasking capabilitiesProficiency in verbal and written communicationProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)#J-18808-Ljbffr
