Overview Environmental Health & Safety Manager – EMCOR Group, Tempe, AZ.Position provides management oversight and hands‑on support for safety programs for the Kimberly‑Clark account portfolio within EMCOR Facilities Services (EFS). Responsibilities include supporting site teams, maintaining a strong safety culture, reducing risk exposure and preventing safety‑related disruptions. The role requires effective communication with management and field staff and involves travel up to 75% to client sites.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and oversee the implementation of safety policies and procedures, conduct safety training and audits to ensure compliance.Investigate incidents and near‑misses to prevent recurrence; lead incident and near‑miss investigations, submit findings to management and follow up on corrective actions.Conduct site safety assessments, identify hazards, ensure technicians have proper PPE, including NFPA 70E requirements, and determine corrective or preventative measures.Audit ISN account compliance requirements and update local operating procedures and SOPs as needed.Drive safety training at site level, including on‑site or computer training, aerial lift, ladder inspection, fall protection inspection, and other safety‑related training for all EFS technicians.Perform new‑hire orientation on safety items, including initial training and a 30‑day follow‑up.Schedule monthly meetings/visits with client teams; conduct training, safety talks, and equipment assessments.Demonstrate ownership of the safety program through attendance and involvement at site meetings, pre‑task discussions, and other opportunities to interact with field staff.Support and respond to daily team needs across the organization.Manage site inspection processes (pre‑task risk assessment, equipment inspections, etc.).Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Safety & Health, EH&S Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience: Minimum 5‑7 years of progressively responsible experience in the EH&S field.Licenses/Certifications: OSHA Outreach Instructor Certification for General Industry (or obtain within 12 months).Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ACTS online software.Language: English (written and oral).Written and Oral Communication: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, write routine reports, and present information effectively.Competencies Supervisory Skills – Engage associates, coach constructively, lead by example.Professional Skills – Exhibit business acumen, provide solutions, collaborate across functions, define priorities, and execute successfully.Safety Focus – Model safe work habits, conduct training meetings, embrace a safe culture, follow laws and regulations, wear and evaluate PPE, report safety issues.Ethical Conduct – Follow policies, treat co‑workers, supervisors and customers with trust and respect, comply with anti‑harassment policy.Communication Skills – Provide clear instructions, communicate effectively with supervisors.Results Driven – Complete tasks timely and consistently, understand and carry out instructions.Initiative – Strong organizational and analytical skills, go above and beyond to satisfy the customer, work with minimal supervision.Interpersonal Skills – Work cooperatively, build positive relationships, display a strong customer‑service orientation.Personal Responsibility – Arrive on time, adapt to changing business needs.Benefits Employees receive a competitive salary and benefits package.Equal Opportunity Employer Equal Opportunity Employer / Veterans / Disabled.
