Job Summary
The facility EHS Manager will provide leadership and expertise to drive best in class performance in the Environmental, Health and Safety performance of AGCC. The successful candidate will partner with facility leadership to establish a strategy and advance a culture of safety and environmental excellence throughout the facility. The EHS Manager will support planning and implementation of safety, health and environmental programs to ensure a safe, healthy and accident-free work environment for every employee and sub-contractor. The role will also provide technical and compliance expertise, support the operations of safety for the manufacturing facility, and ensure proper reporting practices of all claims.
MAIN POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
EMPLOYEE QUALIFICATIONS:
BS Degree in Safety/Environmental Engineering/Sciences, or other related field of study is preferred.
CSP, CIH, CHMM, REM or similar accreditation is preferred.
Five years' experience leading EHS programs within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT and state/local regulatory standards and programs.
Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong self-motivation skills.
Proven experience in positively influencing employees at all levels.
Passion and drive for safety leadership and elimination of incidents and accidents.
Analytical ability and process improvement knowledge.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
