Environmental Health Safety Manager

The Environmental Health/Safety Manager will develop and implement procedures with the line organization to effectively control accidents and health exposures in the company. The EHS Manager is responsible for ensuring that all employees follow safety protocols and procedures. This includes conducting safety audits, investigating accidents, and developing safety programs.About the RolePrimary Job ResponsibilitiesAssist line and staff management to understand OSHA and EPA regulations and standards, including guidance on handling compliance, inspections, and citations.Ensure compliance with CERCLA, OSHA, RCRA, EPA, Title V, Storm Water, and other environmental and safety regulations.Responsible for the development and implementation of emergency preparedness action plans.Develop an ergonomics implementation program to reduce the number of work-related injuries from repetitive motion.Manage the Hazard Communication requirements and maintain updated files for material safety sheets.Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices and develop hazard control practices and programs in conjunction with the line organizations.Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with all environmental and safety regulations.Conduct facility inspections and work with onsite management to resolve findings.Work with outside sources to ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations.Assess new development in the health and safety field which may have application to the company's operations.Work with insurance carrier during facility inspections.Conduct annual health monitoring for the company in accordance with OSHA hearing conservation program.Develop, manage and maintain monthly safety training for all site employees.Monitor compliance with safety procedures.Investigate accidents to find the root cause and recommend corrective measures.QualificationsBachelor's degree in environmental engineering (Preferred), safety, or related working experience.CSP certification.3 to 5 years professional experience in safety and compliance.Required SkillsSelf-motivation, dependability, team oriented.Complete understanding of all OSHA and related regulatory laws and agencies.Accountability for attaining legal advice when required.Strong organization and time management skills.Strong verbal and written analytical skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
