Job Details

What You'll Do

Champion a Zero Incident Safety Culture through leadership, accountability, and employee engagement
Develop, implement, and enhance EHS policies, procedures, and training programs
Conduct facility audits, safety inspections, risk assessments, and hazard analyses
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and injury prevention initiatives
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Track, analyze, and communicate safety metrics, trends, and performance data to leadership
Manage workers' compensation programs, restricted duty assignments, and return-to-work initiatives
Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and external auditors
Lead and facilitate site safety committees, near-miss reporting programs, and employee engagement activities
Develop and deliver safety training programs for both hourly and salaried employees
Oversee emergency preparedness, evacuation planning, severe weather response, and site drills
Administer powered industrial truck certification and other required compliance training programs
Ensure proper PPE selection, usage, and compliance throughout the facility
Maintain environmental compliance programs, waste management processes, recycling initiatives, and required regulatory reporting
Support operational leaders in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainable safety performance


What We Are Looking For:

7+ years of progressive Environmental, Health & Safety leadership experience within manufacturing, heavy industrial, fabrication, construction materials, steel, metals, or similar environments
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and practical application in a production environment
Proven experience building safety programs that reduce incidents and improve employee engagement
Experience leading incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action programs
Working knowledge of workers' compensation management and return-to-work programs
Ability to influence employees and leaders at all levels of the organization
Strong communication, training, coaching, and leadership skills
Experience managing regulatory inspections, audits, and compliance programs

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field
CSP, ASP, CIH, or other advanced EHS certifications
Experience in heavy manufacturing, structural steel, welding, fabrication, or industrial operations
Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience
