This position serves as a supervisor of assigned environmental health services with formal administrative, programmatic, and performance management responsibilities for multiple staff in support of work unit goals and objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of technical and operational aspects of environmental health programs.
  • Experience providing effective supervision and leadership of professional and technical staff.
  • Experience evaluating programmatic needs assessments, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of service delivery.
  • Experience identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Strong communication skills to include communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience and conveying verbal information clearly.

Additional Considerations

  • Experience in the administration of public environmental health programs.
  • Environmental Health Specialist Senior certifications are preferred.
  • Environmental Health Technical Specialist certifications are preferred.
