Core Responsibilities

Work Product Creation, Project Management, Coordination with Team Members

• Conduct industrial hygiene exposure assessments, investigations, and sampling activities
• Evaluate workplace environments for potential chemical, physical, and biological hazards
• Support occupational health and safety (OSH) compliance initiatives for healthcare clients
• Assist with occupational health and safety training initiatives and audits
• Assist with the preparation of technical reports and communicate findings and recommendations to clients
• Collaborate with senior industrial hygiene staff on workplace evaluations and projects 
• Develop and implement sampling plans based on project scope and applicable regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
• Support indoor air quality assessments and workplace exposure monitoring programs
• Support remediation and abatement projects (e.g., ICRA, mold, asbestos), including oversight and clearance sampling
• Maintain accurate field notes, data, and documentation
• Ability and willingness to travel for regional projects, including occasional overnight or extended travel
• Effectively coordinate with other team members as requested or assigned, able to proactively monitor own progress on assigned tasks or projects, and ensure work product produced by self or in collaboration with other assigned team members is consistently high quality.
• Meet or exceed defined individual average utilization goals as set forth by company leadership
• Coordinate and support other team members as assigned, with emphasis on positivity and in support of a culture that is empowered to execute
• Conduct self in support of driving towards defined objectives and key results (OKRs)
• Collaborate with other team members in a manner that assists with rapid identification and escalation to Supervisor of any client, team member or operational challenges

Qualifications & Competencies

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or 5 years of related work experience and no degree.
• Experience in industrial hygiene, occupational health, or environmental consulting 
• Experience conducting field sampling, exposure assessments, and workplace evaluations 
• Strong understanding of industrial hygiene principles and field sampling methods
• Working knowledge of applicable OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements 
• Familiarity with industrial hygiene equipment, including air sampling pumps, noise dosimeters, and direct-reading instruments 
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings to clients
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a client-focused environment 
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic data management 

•  Progress toward or interest in obtaining CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) 
• Experience supporting healthcare, construction, or industrial environments preferred 
• Knowledge of asbestos, mold, indoor air quality, and water quality assessments 
• Appropriate state or nationally recognized certifications (e.g., TDLR MAT/MAC, CMC, CIEC, DSHS asbestos certifications) are a plus
• Health and Safety Certification and Medical Monitoring pursuant to OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 (HAZWOPER 40 Hour).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk job sites during inspections, including uneven terrain, and climb ladders to access and evaluate roofs and rooftop equipment
• Ability to carry field testing equipment weighing up to 30 pounds on a regular basis
• Participation in the VERTEX medical monitoring program is required for applicable project work, including medical/physical exams, respiratory protection fit testing, and PPE training
• Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for environmental site assessments, subsurface investigations, remediation projects, or other tasks involving potential exposure risks
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites
